Niels Gordon started developing his own style of instrumental electronic music when rebuilding his studio around 2012. At this time he got rid of computers and DAW during the creative process to get closer to the origin of electronic music. The result is a kind of organic electronic music with a distinct Kraut/Berlin School vibe.
His latest EP ‘Central European Tyme’ is recorded live in the studio during 2016-17 without the use of multi tracking or MIDI sequencing. Thematically it deals with the concept of time and the European identity. Technically it’s a development of ideas founded during the creation of his debut EP ‘Ohrnacht’ Released in 2016 it contains a collection of tracks recorded while experimenting with analogue sequencers, synthesizers and drum machines in combination with cheap home organs and various effects.
During 2017 Niels executed his first live performances without the use of computers or backtracking. Relying on analogue sequencers, drum machines and triggers to generate truly organic electronic music on stage.
